As needed, adjustments to business unit numbers are made at the business unit level (and not directly to the financial statements or directly to the business unit GL) and are documented via form "Corporate Request to Update Business Unit GL data." Once the update is made, all applicable controls are followed to ensure accurate data is returned to Corporate headquarters prior to the reconsolidation of the financial numbers.  The approved form is submitted to Corporate headquarters with the changed data.  The form is stored in the month-end close binder.
